SDS Market Development Manager, Jo Bradley, will be presenting at CIWEM’s forthcoming Urban Drainage Group Scottish Event on the subject of ‘Practical Applications in Scotland’.
The conference focuses on the developing strategies for Flood Risk Management in Scotland, the requirement for, and application of, Stormwater Management approaches, and case studies and lessons learned from the first group of Integrated Catchment Studies undertaken across Scotland.
SDS’s presentation, entitled “Urban Stormwater Runoff in the UK – can we afford to fix it?”, will consider the level of pollution entering the water environment from road run-off and why this run-off is not being treated to reduce the pollutant load when devices to do so are readily available.
Organisations, for whom attendance at this event is especially relevant, include water and flood professionals, consultants, hydrologists and engineers, infrastructure operators and utility companies, government and regulators, as well as communities at risk of flooding, user groups and NGOs, and of course decision-makers.
The Conference takes place on 22 June at Doubletree by Hilton, Dunblane. Further details can be found on the CIWEM website.
