For over a year, in-person industry events have been put on hold, in the UK alone that is over 1.3 million* business events that were not able to take place.
Although many organisers have provided virtual platforms on which to share knowledge, showcase products, and talk with new and existing customers, SDS, like many, is enthusiastic about returning to physical exhibitions in the latter part of this year.
Flood Expo, taking place at the NEC on 22 and 23 September, is acknowledged as the UK’s leading flood management event and will kick off our schedule. Located on stand number 4-E50, the SDS team will be on hand to talk through key water management developments covering flood prevention, drought mitigation and pollution protection. Our extensive product range, combined with expert knowledge and an exciting programme of NPD, ensure that we can provide tailored solutions to both retrofit and new projects.
In addition, SDS will be displaying our new innovations in smart water management technology, such as our Intellistorm® intelligent water reuse system, and unveiling new, compact rainwater and grey water recycling systems.
On the second day of the show, Dr Neil Sewell, Director of New Technology Services, will be holding a seminar entitled, ‘Too Much or Not Enough? How Smart Technology Can Solve Our Perennial Problems With Water.’ Taking place in the Defence and Response Theatre at 10:00 on Thursday 23rd, Neil will be discussing how innovative new technology can address and mitigate the otherwise catastrophic impacts of extreme weather and how it can aid in achieving the twin goals of a safe, efficient drainage system and a secure and sustainable water supply.
We will also be exhibiting at UK Construction Week, to be held at the NEC from 5 to 7 October, the UK’s most prestigious built environment event, and at Floodex which takes place at London’s ExCeL in early November.
We look forward to seeing you there.
