In a project showcasing expertise and coordination, SDS has installed surface water attenuation tanks on behalf of Carter Lauren Construction Ltd on the site of the planned new Miller and Carter Restaurant at Grey Towers Farm estate in Nunthorpe, North Yorkshire. The groundworks for the site, which is located just off the A172 and represents the company’s first outlet in Teesside, were prepared last month for the introduction of two GEOlight® geo-cellular tanks, with one tank providing a water storage capacity of 83m3 and the other 131m3.

Despite working repeatedly under abysmal conditions of heavy rainfall, SDS executed its part of the project flawlessly, demonstrating the company’s ability to effectively manage adverse weather without compromise to the integrity of the attenuation system. The timely provision and installation of the tanks played a crucial role in maintaining the project’s momentum, even amidst logistical challenges, and ensuring its completion well within the anticipated timeframe.

Miller and Carter, renowned for its cuts of steak and prime burgers and run by the national chain Mitchells and Butlers, is a key component of the exciting new development at the Grey Towers estate. The project, which has been years in the making, sees steak lovers one step closer to enjoying their favourite meals-out at the new venue.
